Zurich Sigorta – ODI Platform Setup & Architecture
Greenfield ODI platform setup: repositories, agent installation, topology architecture, and environment rollout.
At Zurich Sigorta I was responsible end to end for building the data integration platform from scratch and designing its architecture. The Oracle Data Integrator environment, the infrastructure it runs on, and the full connectivity architecture were designed and brought to a production-ready state within this project.
The installation work covered creating the ODI master and work repositories on Oracle Database (schema setup via RCU), installing ODI Studio and configuring the clients, installing the standalone agent, registering it as a service, and configuring automatic startup. Resource planning for agent scaling, JVM parameters, and log management were also handled as part of this work.
I designed the topology architecture to match the organisation's environment structure (Dev–Test–Prod). Data servers, physical schemas, logical schemas, and contexts were modelled so that promotion between environments requires no code changes. Connectivity between source systems and the target Oracle ODS environment, JDBC driver management, the user/privilege model, and security configuration were all defined as part of this architecture.
Once the platform was live, I stood up the Oracle ODS environment, ran the first ETL flows on the new architecture, validated the execution and scheduling setup, and carried out performance and stability testing. I also applied OPatch security patches to the ODI and Oracle components to satisfy Qualys vulnerability scanning, bringing the environment in line with corporate security standards.
